End User Training and Certification

Live and recorded trainings are available for both new and current HMIS users throughout the year via a Learning Management System (LMS).  We are currently in the process of rolling out this new training tool and are working on setup for all current HMIS users.  In the meantime, if you have an employee that needs to complete training, please submit a HMIS Help Desk Ticket, nilhmis.cayzu.com, with the employee's name, title, email, and programs that this user requires access to so that we give them access to the LMS, the Help Desk and the Training Site.  

Required End User Training

The following is required for all End Users and is now completed in the Learning Management System. 

  • End User Training Part 1 - self-guided training on the Standard Operating Procedures 
  • New User Training Part 2 - instructor led training reviewing the software and standard data entry workflow.  Registration is required.
  • Annual End User Training - all users are to complete the annual training which reviews the Standard Operating Procedures and any HMIS related updates.  This training typically occurs in Sept/Oct and is required to maintain access to HMIS.  Details will be sent out closer to the event.

End User Certification

Users may show their knowledge by completing the Certification Exam.  Please check with your Agency's Data Administrator to confirm if this is required by your agency.  The certification is now completed in the Learning Management System.
