FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
Under general supervision, performs work of moderate difficulty in monitoring the operation of Employment and Training programs; performs related work as required.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS
An employee in this class spends a substantial amount of time conducting internal and external monitoring to ensure that program operations are functioning according to the policies and procedures established under the Workforce Investment Act.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitors contract performance by subcontractors in the areas of eligibility, curriculum, monthly enrollments and terminations
• Tabulates written evaluations of programs
• Oversees program implementation and design
• Coordinates with staff regarding discrepancies, modifications, necessary revisions or suggestions for improvement
• Compiles statistical analysis of participant progress and outcomes
• Resolves problems through monthly monitoring visits of sub-recipients
• Ensures participants are receiving training as outlined in the contracts
• Conducts internal operations review on a monthly basis
• Maintains regular attendance and punctuality
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Adjusts work assignments and schedules in the event of an emergency to participate in emergency preparedness, response, and recovery activities as assigned.
• Depending on assignment may maintain required emergency management training, licensure and/or certifications.
• Performs related duties as required or assigned within job classification.

• Communicate and use interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. to sufficiently exchange or convey information and to receive work direction
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations and statutory requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration or related field and two (2) years experience in employment and training work; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
