Hours: Full-Time: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Salary: $60,000-$68,000 annually

Responsibilities include:
•    Performs hydraulic modeling and prepares watershed plans, floodplain maps, hydraulic studies and the preparation of reports and presentations
•    Assists with water quality monitoring and various aspects of the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System Program
•    Assists in the operation and maintenance of the County’s flood control facilities, as well as running the County’s flood forecast models
•    Analyses of survey data for input into hydraulic models and decisions on stormwater management projects
•    Performs permit reviews for compliance with the DuPage County Stormwater and Floodplain Ordinance and the DuPage County Building Code
•    Investigates drainage complaints and streambank erosion areas, assesses the flooding or erosion problem and assists with the design of proposed solutions
•    Lead worker for in-house staff, consultants and contractors to ensure the goals of Stormwater Management are being met
•    Coordinates proposed improvements with state and local agencies and other County departments
•    Makes presentations to the public and Stormwater Management Committee regarding various aspects of the program
•    Completes design and permitting for in-house Stormwater projects
•    Performs floodplain mapping studies utilizing DuPage County’s HSPF/FEQ/PVSTATS methodology; using GIS to map floodplain/floodway boundaries; preparing FEMA documentation; completing required MT-2 forms for submittal

Requirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience:
•    Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university
•    Two years of civil engineering experience in a professional setting
•    Must possess and maintain in good standing a valid Illinois Driver’s License

The preferred candidate will have:
•    Obtained an Engineering In Training Certification (EIT) and be working towards a Professional Engineering License
