"CHANGING LIVES, RESTORING THE COMMUNITY"
Our Mission
We are dedicated to achieving justice by employing proven strategies to change offenders' values and beliefs and build competency skills. The result is reduced recidivism, improved public safety and enhanced quality of life for our citizens.
Our Vision
We strive to be an integral partner of a model justice system.
We envision:
- Offenders taking responsibility for their behavior, enhancing their skills and leading lawful lives.
- Victims experiencing reparation.
- Our communities benefiting from a reduced recidivism rate and confidently investing in the criminal justice process.
Our Philosophy of Working with Families
We
believe that success while on Probation is dependent upon a collaborative partnership
between probation staff and the youth’s parents/guardians. Parents/Guardians need to be engaged,
involved and empowered in the creation and implementation of services provided
to their child. The Family Guide (PDF) was created to help educate parents about
the Juvenile Court Process and the Probation Department.
