Residential Care Management
On rare occasions, a juvenile may be residentially placed in a long-term care treatment facility by the Court. The residential placement officer will send referral packets to appropriate placements that match the juvenile's needs. The juvenile’s home
school district is notified of possible court-ordered placement.
The residential placement officer collaborates with the treatment program, court, school, family, and juvenile for successful treatment planning. Upon successful completion from residential placement, the residential placement officer facilitates discharge
planning and aftercare services. If the Court places a youth and the county is ordered to pay the expenses, all expenses related to such placement are to be reimbursed by the parents.
