Kids At Hope

The Department of Probation and Court Services integrates the Kids at Hope philosophy when working with youth and their families.  Kids At Hope is not a program, but a belief system where we believe:

  • All Children are capable of success, No Exceptions!

  • Children succeed when they are surrounded by adults who believe they can succeed.

  • Children succeed when they have meaningful, sustainable relationships with caring adults.

  • Children succeed when they can articulate their future.

The concept behind this is that for every child, there are adults who teach, motivate, and/or mentor children to achieve.    Kids at Hope is a culture that eradicates hopelessness and leads children on a path to success.

Every child is afforded guidance and encouragement to visualize their future in life’s four major destinations of Home & Family, Education & Career, Community & Service, and Hobbies & Recreation in order to create a sense of hope and optimism for their future.

To create a culture throughout DuPage County, where everyone working with young people are caring adults who believe that all children are capable of success, no exceptions.
