The Department of Public Works aims to provide water and sewer services to portions of DuPage County consisting of approximately 200,000 residents. These services include the collection, transmission and treatment of wastewater, as well as the production,
transmission and delivery of potable water service. The Department is required to meet all applicable local, state, and federal laws pertaining to the treatment of wastewater and the delivery of drinking water. The Drainage Division, also under the
jurisdiction of the Department of Public Works, is responsible for providing assistance with residential and commercial drainage concerns in unincorporated portions of DuPage County.
Above is a short video with a narrative of the treatment process at the DuPage County Woodridge Greene Valley Wastewater Treatment Facility.
