    • Established Party Filing (first day) - General Primary Election
      Monday, 11/27/2017

      First day for candidates of established political parties to file original nomination papers (must contain original sheets signed by voters and circulators). Candidates for county offices and precinct committeeman will file with the DuPage County Election Commission. [10 ILCS 5/7-12(2), 7-12(5)]

    • Established Party Filing (last day) - General Primary Election
      Monday, 12/04/2017

      Last day for candidates of established political parties to file original nomination papers (must contain original sheets signed by voters and circulators). Candidates for county offices and precinct committeeman will file with the DuPage County Election Commission. [10 ILCS 5/7-12(2), 7-12(5)]

    • Notice of Lottery - General Primary Election
      Wednesday, 12/06/2017

      Last day for written notice of the time and place for conducting lottery shall be given when two (2) or more petitions are received simultaneously for the same office and party: (a) as of the opening hour of the filing period, November 27, 2017; and/or (b) within the last hour of the filing period, December 4, 2017 (There must be 7 days given notice. If the lottery is to be held on the last statutory date, December 13, the last day to give notice is December 6.)  Notice shall be given by the DuPage County Election Commission to the chairman of each political party and to each organization of citizens within the election jurisdiction entitled to have pollwatchers present at the last election. Notice must also be posted.

    • Ballot Placement Lottery - General Primary Election
      Wednesday, 12/13/2017

      Last day lottery shall be conducted by the DuPage County Election Commission when two (2) or more petitions are received simultaneously for the same office and party, as of the opening hour or within the last hour of the filing period.
